Running Out the Clock!

It’s only 10 days until the upcoming retreat!!! The menu has been added to the website and it will be YUMMY as usual. The chef and his staff at the Mountain Top Inn and Resort are amazing!! You can check out our menu here (just click on Retreat Information) http://www.savorymemories.com

I’m still waiting on a paper order so I can create a certain special treat box…. It’s so hard not to write about it but it has to be a surprise 🙂 After the retreat I’ll post all the little goodie boxes and such from the weekend. We have so much fun.

I’ll leave you today with a tag I created for an assignment back when I was an AOC (artist on call) for Stampington’s Inspirations Magazine. We were to design something that showed the readers who we are through our style (I think I got that right). I created this about the same time I did the circle journal entry posted here and you can tell I was in a black and cream color mode! The stamps are all from Stampington & Company and the Patterned Paper is from Crate Paper. Tag cut from chipboard using the Accucut die cutting system.

Getting Ready :)

Penny and I have been so busy with the upcoming retreat! We’ve finalized the menu (need to upload to the website tomorrow) and I’m busy making different treat boxes 🙂 so my personal crafting is at a minimum for the time being! That said….. here’s a quart sized paint can all done up in Creative Memories new Primary palette with a decorative pinwheel. Tucked inside is a coordinating mini book~ I love decorating paint cans! Such a neat way to present a gift. You can view the cool new CM products here: http://www.creativememories.com/

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Briana!

My daughter’s birthday is today and to commemorate this exciting day I have a dressed up box to offer that appeared in a Stampington’s holiday issue. I used a wooden box purchased at Michaels Crafts and painted it white, topped it with a pretty delicate pale pink rose paper (unsure of the company). I used my accu-cut to cut out the large chipboard tag and made a smaller chipboard tag and simply adhered her photo on one and a popped up stamp on the other. (Stampin Up!) I used a dymo tag for labeling “My sweet baby girl” around the box cover and for her name and topped it off with a Prima flower. The ribbon came from a Valentine’s Godiva box 🙂 I still need to make a mini album to put inside but that will come. (at some point!)

One tip I have to use with any cutting system that uses steel rule dies is that I adhere the paper to the chipboard and then cut out my shape, letter, etc… It is such a time saver!

Yet Another Tin :)

I love altering tins! This is a tin made for holding greeting cards using one of my favorite Creative Memories designer papers, Cabana. It’s so festive and comes with tons of great stickers that lend themselves beautifully to card making! (as you can see from the photo)
